A tenant survey at East Cambridgeshire District Council's two business centres, e-space
north and south, has revealed that it is proving an ideal place to start a business.
The survey, which took place in September and October, revealed that 82 per cent of companies at e-space south and 93 per cent of companies at e-space north would recommend the building to other start-up and growing businesses.
The report also revealed high levels of satisfaction with the buildings and management arrangements.
Darren Hill, Team Leader, Economic Development at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said:
“This is an important survey that reveals a large majority of the businesses based at e-space north and south are very happy with the centres and the resources they provide. We know we can make the business centres even better and the valuable feedback we have can only improve services and we will be working hard to implement these over the coming year.”
Cassandra Day of Tinies Childcare, currently a tenant at e-space north in Littleport said:
“e-space north has provided us with a cost effective and flexible working environment over the past year and has helped our business to develop. We have recently invested over £4,000 on new mobile crèche facilities for weddings, parties and corporate events as demand for flexible childcare in the region grows. As a result, we have recently taken on new members of staff and moved into a larger unit within the building.”
e-space north and south have been operating for seven years and have provided supportive working environments and easy-in easy-out lease arrangements for start-up and growing companies. East Cambridgeshire District Council took over the management function of the buildings in April this year.
