Innovative Mobile Start Up Calls By For Advice

A start up company, which is breaking new ground in the mobile marketing business, is the latest firm to benefit from guidance from the Ely Business Hub.

Madvert, who specialise in helping companies to make the most of mobile technology to promote their business, came to the Hub to get advice and help to grow the business.

Dean Butler - who is the driving force behind Madvert - has been mentored by serial entrepreneur Peter Dawe, one of the key men behind the success of the Ely Business Hub.  Dean has also been able to use free office space at the Hub as he progressed the business in it's early days.

Councillor Ron Bradney, East Cambridgeshire District Council's Champion for Economic Development, said:  'The Ely Business Hub is all about helping the best business ideas to come to fruition.  We are very lucky in East Cambridgeshire - in the last year 97 per cent of start ups survived their first year.  This is a fantastic position to be in.  Our job at the Hub is to provide advice and support to help those people who have the drive to succeed and generate economic growth.'

Dean Butler from Madvert, said:  'The last few months have been fantastic thanks to the help of Peter Dawe and the Ely Business Hub.  I have had mentoring advice from one of the most successful men in business and the use of free office space so I now count myself very lucky to be able to take my business to the next level.'

The Ely Business Hub is the branchild of East Cambridgeshire District Council, 'serial entrepreneur', Peter Dawe and Simon Crosland from Business Link East, who saw the District needed a place for start up businesses to go for independent help.   To contact the Ely Business Hub please call 01353 644144 or visit  www.espaceely.com/main/ely-business-hub for more information.
