A company that specialises in groundbreaking Wi-Fi technology has moved to the Cambridgeshire Business Park in Ely after growing out of East Cambridgeshire District Council’s flagship business centre, e-space north.
Ozmo Devices, which has headquarters in California, USA, develops innovative Wi-Fi technology for use in wireless devices linked to notebook computers, mobile phones and home entertainment systems. Now that they are ready to take their product to market and continue to grow, they have moved onto larger independent premises.
The company moved to e-space north business centre in Littleport two years ago to take advantage of the facilities that allowed them to concentrate on developing and growing their business. The centre helps new businesses find their feet by taking away the worries of building maintenance, waste disposal, and reception costs.
Jon Edney, Vice President of Software at Ozmo Devices, said: “The main benefits of e-space north are convenience, cost and the ability to operate as a fully functioning company without all the overhead of a full office facility. The Littleport location offers good value for money and as a facility to incubate and help businesses through their growth phase e-space worked really well for us.’
Darren Hill, Team Leader, Economic Development at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Ozmo Devices is another excellent example of how good the e-space centres are at incubating companies, allowing them to grow and develop sufficiently to be able to take on larger premises. This is exactly what these centres were designed for and I wish Ozmo Devices every success in their new home on the Cambridgeshire Business Park.”
e-space north is a serviced office business centre that has been operating since 2001. The building is owned and managed by East Cambridgeshire District Council. A limited number of units are currently available ranging form 150 to 650 sq ft on flexible monthly leases at competitive prices. A smaller facility is also located just off Angel Drove in Ely offering units from 150 to 300 sq ft, which are ideal for small companies wishing to take on their first commercial premises.
